ET VOILA’
With this podcast, Arturo, the foremost international exponent of the art of transformation and a deep connoisseur of the history of entertainment, takes us to this era of great transformations, and to its epicenter, Paris, to tell us how those years have decisively contributed to shaping today’s world, including the birth of modern entertainment.
HOW TO BECOME A STAGE PERFORMER
In this course, Arturo reveals his most secret tricks, not those related to costumes, but that software of experience that every performer needs to create their own character and stage the repertoire to the best of their abilities.
POLTRONA SPIONA
“Poltrona Spiona” is a 6-episode docuseries written by record-breaking transformist Arturo Brachetti and award-winning children’s writer Alessandro Barbaglia, in which the famous showman transforms, on this occasion, into a showteller, narrating the most bizarre, magical, and incredible stories that have taken place in the Piedmontese theaters Regio, Carignano, and Milanollo, which are the “protagonists” of the first season.
ARTURO RACCONTA BRACHETTI
This talk show offers the opportunity to discover the artist with anecdotes and stories that do not find space in the rhythms of traditional entertainment but have increasingly aroused the curiosity of the audience. This meeting arises precisely from the spontaneous questions of the spectators collected together and transformed into a unique narrative thread, in which Arturo himself narrates the character Brachetti, in a special evening made of confidences, memories, and fantastic journeys.
MARCEL MARCEAU
Arturo Brachetti tells a story in the podcast that intersects with his own at certain points: that of Marcel Marceau, “the greatest mime of all.” An unprecedented and poetic way in which one artist tells the story of another, recognizing themselves both in the pursuit of perfection and lyricism that characterizes their art, also united by the celebration of their early successes in France. Unprecedented thoughts and encounters between Arturo Brachetti and Marcel Marceau, which make this podcast dedicated to art and cinema even more unique and evocative.
Not only a performer, but also a director.
THE BEST OF ALDO, GIOVANNI E GIACOMO
The direction is traditionally entrusted to Arturo Brachetti, who has directed them in all theatrical productions (I Corti, Tel chi el telùn, Anplagghed, and Ammutta Muddica) On stage, the inevitable presence of Silvana Fallisi. Aldo, Giovanni and Giacomo will also be accompanied live by the great orchestra of Good Fellas, just like those in Tel chi el telun.
METAFISICO, METÀ FA SCHIFO
Director of META FISICO, META’ FA SCHIFO by and starring Raul Cremona. Production Paolo Guerra. First play by Raul Cremona where he takes on tour its fun characters: The Wizard Oronzo, Manipolini, the singer of Las Vegas and others…
I CORTI
Three friends and a theatrical intellectual (AGG and Marina) sit on the stage as the spectators of a comedy show that will set itself to achieve the “comedic absolute zero”, that is the funniest and at the same time the shortest scene. Of course, the four of them are also the autoironic interpreters of the “show“. Sketches depart from the longest, three twins in the womb to get to the shortest, the famous beer bottle of Tafazzi. The show was then broadcasted on “Italia 1” and “Tele Più”. Fun fact: the videotape of the show, with 500,000 copies sold, was the third highest-selling in Europe, after “Pink Floyd The Wall” and “The Three Tenors”.
TEL CHI EL TELUN
In this great anthology of sketches A.G.G. have their best repertoire pieces such as automobile, Pdor, the poetry but also some never performed before such as the doctors, the dogs, the shadows, and the monks. The major difficulty is the packaging of the play with later variants for television. The work, in fact, committed Arturo for two months. Broadcast on Canale 5 in four episodes (with an average of 10 million viewers per episode) it became the show of the year and won the Telegatto.
AMMUTTA MUDDICA
A new show directed by Arturo and starring the trio Aldo, Giovanni and Giacomo. A new show directed by Arturo and starring the trio Aldo, Giovanni and Giacomo. Inspired by the life of every day, the trio with actress Silvana Fallisi, juggles bizarre comic situations and characters, such as the emergency that three citizens faces with tax agents or the teasing of some contemporary fashions like tattoos and racing mania.
ANPLAGHEDD
Director of the new show by Aldo Giovanni and Giacomo, which toured venues all over Italy until November 2006. A DVD was published as well as a TV show for three episodes.
From the grand stages to the small screen.
THE BEST
Arturo Brachetti is a judge on The Best. The Best:Le Meilleur Artiste is a competition of international performers aired on TF1, the most important French television channel. The choice of the Italian artist was confirmed after the success of the first edition, which aired in July 2013: the viewership data averaged 4,200,000 viewers per episode.
AL PARADISE
In the show presented by Oreste Lionello, Arturo creates 10 original pieces including: “Le quattro stagioni,” “Magritte,” “Il viaggio nel mondo dei colori,” “Marlène,” “La Butterfly,” “Il violinista a tre braccia,” etc., for a total of 50 characters. “At Paradise” marks the end of the era of extravagant pre-recorded variety shows. Among the regular guests, colleagues of Arturo, we would like to affectionately remember the last complete appearance of the legendary Quartetto Cetra.
CENT RANCUNES
“Cent Rancunes” by Caroline Roboh features the role of the forest spirit in a story of violated girls, ghosts, and mysterious apparitions in a magical Scotland, amidst lakes and abandoned castles.
CLEMENTINE TANGO
Cult-movie of Caroline Roboh. Arturo’s first cinematic experience sees him portraying (indeed) Arturo, an ambiguous and magical individual, perhaps living, perhaps a ghost, androgynous and diabolical. The story is an initiatory journey in which a boy from an aristocratic family, investigating his father’s past, discovers his life, his sexuality, and the incestuous love for Clementine, his stepsister. This film, awarded at the Berlin International Film Festival, is also presented at the Museum of Modern Art in New York (MOMA).
NIKKI
A recurring character in the sitcom “Nikki”. Produced by Warner Bros. in Hollywood, following the success of “The Drew Carey Show,” Arturo played a significant role in the sitcom “Nikki,” which was filmed at Warner Bros. Studios in Hollywood. Arturo portrayed the role of Antonio, an eccentric costume designer at a Las Vegas casino, where the entire story unfolded.
DISNEY NIGHT OF MAGIC
Host of the special “Disney Night of Magic.” Produced and distributed on all television networks worldwide by Buena Vista Production. Producer for Disney: John Fisher. In this program entirely shot at night in Disneyland Paris, Arturo plays a red sprite who accompanies Mickey Mouse throughout the park. Changing outfits and characters accordingly each time they find themselves in a different environment, Art introduces guests such as Take That, Ray Conniff Jr., Harry Blackstone Jr., the Pendragons, Hans Moretti, and many others. Here, for the first time, encouraged by producer John Fisher, the Far West act is born, which later becomes a centerpiece in several subsequent shows.
DREW CAREY SHOW
In 1999, Arturo participated in the 100th episode of the sitcom “The Drew Carey Show.” The episode, as usual, was filmed at Warner Bros. Studios in Hollywood, but this time it was broadcast live on television. Arturo portrayed a young man who applies for a job, fails the test, and then transforms into increasingly eccentric characters before the incredulous eyes of Drew Carey, the star of the show. A curiosity: the episode aired three times on the same day, for the three time zones of the United States, and each time, the improvised parts were different.
L’ANTIFURTO/LA CONCORRENZA
The direction of the episode “L’antifurto” with Marina Massironi, Alessandro Gassman, and Gian Marco Tognazzi. In this very funny sitcom, Marina runs a very poor agency for singing telegrams. Gassman and Tognazzi are two somewhat unlucky thieves who, thinking they have arrived at a wealthy agency, try to steal what isn’t there. Arturo's universes
Arturo brings to the stage the best of Italian art: elegance, imagination, love for beauty, creativity, and irony. He represents a positive image of Italy to the world, one of artists, cinema, and the great myths of entertainment.
He creates his shows drawing from the same sources as the great masters of cinema and variety, such as the commedia dell’arte, French variety, those that inspired Charlie Chaplin and Federico Fellini.
Naturally curious, Arturo has never stopped experimenting with new forms of “making entertainment,” rediscovering traditional techniques or creating new ones.
In addition to variety theater, which he prefers, Arturo has worked in drama, television, cinema, fiction, symphonic music, traditional and contemporary circus, musicals, directing, and artistic direction.
